Grape pregnancy (hydatidiform mole) is an abnormal pregnancy, a benign tumor that occurs as a result of the failure of the fetal formation to form a network of membrane surfaces that resemble a wine horde. Vaginal pregnancy is a benign tumor formed from trophoblasts (fertilized egg cell cells) that have been fertilized. This tumor is attached to the lining of the uterus and becomes the placenta and membrane that feeds the fruits of fertilization. This type of tumor can become malignant.
Medically, wine pregnancy can occur due to the absence of pregnancy (agenesis), or changes (degeneration) of the bloodstream system to pregnancy during pregnancy at weeks 3 to 4 weeks. Another cause is the continuous flow or blood circulation in the absence of a fetus resulting in increased production of trophoblast cell fluids. Vaginal pregnancy can also be caused by the abnormality of sex chromosome substance.
The symptoms of pregnant wine are similar to those of normal pregnant women, ie late menstruation, nausea, vomiting, and so on. Examination of a pregnancy test also gives a positive result. But the difference is, in wine pregnant there are no signs of fetal movement, the uterus appears larger than the actual gestational age, and the discharge of wine-like fluid bubbles along with vaginal bleeding.
Through radiological examination or x-ray there is no fetal bone, but something like a honeycomb or a snowstorm. Similarly, an ultrasound scan will produce a snowstorm image and there are no signs of a fetal heartbeat. In wine pregnancy, HCG levels will increase higher than normal HCG levels in pregnancy.
Prevention of pregnant wine can be done by removing the mole (evacuation), then performed follow-up supervision (follow up). In women who are fertile and still want children, mola expenditure can be done by means of curettes or suction curettage. A week after the first curette, re-done a curette to make sure the uterus is completely clean. Whereas in elderly women or who already do not want a child, can be done the removal of the uterus (hysterectomy).
Patients with wine pregnancy are advised not to get pregnant until further supervision is done. For women who do not have children, it is recommended to use contraception to delay pregnancy for one year, while not pregnant for two years
